Job summary

Octopus by RTG is seeking an experienced Experience Designer to lead the design of cutting-edge digital products across platforms. You will build scalable design systems, bridge design and development, and ensure high-quality handoff and execution.

The role demands 5+ years in UX/UI design, strong Figma proficiency, and a passion for scalable design tokens and component libraries in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Design or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years designing digital products with UX/UI strengths.
• Proficiency in Figma and managing component libraries.
• Knowledge of responsive design, WCAG accessibility, and mobile-first principles.
• Solid understanding of HTML/CSS/React and design–development collaboration workflows.
• Strong documentation, organization, and systems-thinking mindset.

Responsibilities

• Define intuitive interaction patterns, navigation models, and responsive visual systems across platforms.
• Build, document, and maintain robust design systems in Figma with foundations like grid, spacing, typography and components.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and alignment to design intent.
• Prepare clean, annotated design files for development and QA, using Figma and handoff tools.
• Participate in QA and design reviews to close the gap between design and build and improve workflows.
