Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Dry & Wet Utilities) to supervise utility networks on major projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure construction aligns with contract requirements, drawings, and standards while coordinating with authorities and stakeholders.

The role requires 10–15 years in infrastructure design or construction supervision, with proven experience across wet and dry utilities and familiarity with Abu Dhabi regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of infrastructure design or construction supervision experience.
• Experience supervising wet utilities (water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater) and dry utilities (power, street lighting, telecom, ICT).
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure, master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, or public realm projects.
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi Municipality and utility authority requirements.
• UAE/GCC project experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction and installation activities for both wet and dry utility networks.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specs, authority requirements and standards.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor contractor performance, productivity, and workmanship.
• Witness testing, commissioning and handover activities for utility systems.
• Coordinate with authorities, contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Verify completed works, quantities and construction progress.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports, progress updates and technical recommendations.
• Support the Resident Engineer in project delivery and stakeholder management.
