Al Manarah, a company under Chedid Capital, is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Underwriter Officer - Marine to handle marine insurance enquiries and renewals, and support day-to-day operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Quotation & Negotiation – Obtain and compare competitive quotes from insurers; negotiate favourable terms for clients and prepare easy-to-understand comparison sheets.
- Policy Administration – Prepare, issue, and manage marine insurance policies (cargo & hull) accurately and on time, ensuring all documentation is complete
- Client Onboarding & Compliance – Collect KYC documents for new and existing clients; ensure full compliance with internal and regulatory standards before policy issuance.
- Renewal Management – Track and manage policy renewals proactively; liaise with clients and insurers to secure best renewal terms and ensure continuity of cover.
- Customer Support & Relationship Management – Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries; provide prompt, professional service to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Coordination with Insurers & Stakeholders – Work closely with insurance companies, and other partners to facilitate smooth policy issuance, and follow-ups.
- Document Control & Dispatch – Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of policy documents electronically and/or physically; maintain organized records.
- Financial Coordination – Assist the accounts team with reconciliations, and outstanding follow-ups.
- Reporting & Compliance – Prepare regular operational and performance reports; adhere to internal processes and industry regulations.
- Continuous Improvement – Suggest process improvements and support new initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and insurance-related diploma/certificate required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in marine insurance operations or a similar field.
- Technical proficiency in using insurance company portals and MS Office applications.
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability in handling tasks.
