Job summary

Remotedxb seeks a senior UI/UX design professional to translate research into design specifications and lead the front-end implementation in React. You will shape reusable UI components, enforce HCD principles, and ensure accessibility compliance for enterprise/government projects.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, UI Architects, and Developers within Agile cycles, driving design system reuse and high-quality interfaces across platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of UI/UX design development experience, including 5+ years in Human-Centered Design for enterprise/government apps.
• Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe delivery and iterative design integration.
• Expertise in usability testing methodologies (heuristic evaluations, card sorting, A/B testing).
• Proficiency with design/prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, Storybook, Axure, or Miro.
• Strong React proficiency with reusable components and responsive UI.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with Sass or CSS preprocessors.
• Experience designing for federal systems with Section 508 and WCAG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Translate research insights into actionable design specs.
• Bridge design and engineering to translate prototypes into reusable UI components in React.
• Ensure HCD principles and alignment with program objectives and Agile ceremonies.
• Define and enforce UI/UX and front-end coding standards for consistency and reuse.
• Evaluate designs for WCAG/Section 508 accessibility.
• Support rapid prototyping and validation within sprint cycles.
• Provide guidance on UI consistency and design system reuse.
• Collaborate with QA and Compliance to verify usability and accessibility in releases.
