Job summary

Rowad Modern Engineering in the UAE seeks a procurement lead to manage procurement for major construction projects. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage RFQs, POs and vendor relations.

Collaboration with Project Management, Technical, Commercial and Finance teams is essential to meet complex project needs while controlling costs and ensuring UAE-compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing procurement for UAE construction projects.
• Ability to source, evaluate, negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
• Proficient in RFQs, quotations, comparisons, POs and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for UAE construction projects.
• Manage suppliers, subcontractors, RFQs, evaluations, negotiations and purchase orders.
• Identify and prequalify UAE‑based vendors and ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Technical, Commercial and Finance teams to meet project requirements.
• Resolve procurement, technical and commercial issues with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor vendor performance, procurement schedules, costs, quality and risks.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly procurement reports for management.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, contracts and UAE regulations.
• Act as a procurement advisor to Project Management and proactively manage procurement risks and challenges.
