Job summary

Pennell Hart FZ LLC is conducting a senior Compliance Officer search in Abu Dhabi for a strategic role embedded across the group’s entities. The candidate will drive regulatory alignment, policy development, and risk oversight, reporting to the General Counsel.

Fluency in Arabic and English and hands-on CMA/ADX experience are essential. The role offers cross-entity exposure within a diversified investment portfolio and requires leadership in regulatory projects, controls, and training programs

Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles in the UAE.
Deep knowledge of UAE CMA (formerly SCA) and ADX frameworks.
Fluent in Arabic and English, with strong drafting and communication skills.
Experience in a listed company, investment group, financial services, holding company, or government-related entity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust compliance policies, procedures, and controls aligned with UAE laws and international best practices.
Monitor compliance across a portfolio of subsidiaries with varying regulatory environments.
Oversee regulatory interactions, including submissions, inspections, and communications with CMA, ADX, and cross-border bodies (ADGM/DIFC as needed).
Embed a culture of compliance through training, awareness programs, and advisory support to business units.
Coordinate with internal audit, legal, and risk management to ensure a holistic governance approach.
