Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Tunnels Inspector - Precast Segments in Dubai and Sharjah, UAE. The role involves supervising precast tunnel segment production, inspecting from reinforcement to curing, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.

You will coordinate with contractors, engineers, and QA teams to prevent defects and support project delivery. The ideal candidate has at least eight years in civil construction supervision, with emphasis on tunnel segments or precast production,

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting precast tunnel segments in a yard environment.
• Strong understanding of reinforcement, formwork, concrete mixes, curing, finishing, and testing.
• Ability to interpret inspection plans, shop drawings and related reports.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the manufacture of precast tunnel segments against drawings and specs.
• Monitor reinforcement placement, formwork, embedded items, pouring, curing, and finishing.
• Ensure materials, workmanship, equipment, and methods meet project requirements.
• Review method statements, ITPs, material approvals, and contractor submissions.
• Witness concrete sampling and quality tests; verify strength and durability criteria.
• Track curing schedules, temperatures, and protection methods.
• Check for cracks, defects, dimensional deviations, and edge damage.
• Maintain traceability and accurate records throughout production and storage.
• Coordinate with QC teams and implement approved procedures.
• Record non-conforming work and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Support factory acceptance tests and additional inspections as needed.
• Assist with reviewing precast shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Liaise with engineers and stakeholders to resolve production concerns.
• Maintain production logs and progress documentation.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on output, quality, and safety.
