Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited seeks a seasoned professional to lead and coordinate tunnel civil works in a major Abu Dhabi project. You will oversee lining installation, cross-passages, drainage, and related structural activities, ensuring quality and compliance with designs.

Responsible for coordinating with TBM, geotechnical, survey and design teams, you will manage subcontractors and site crews, track progress, and ensure safety standards throughout execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the execution of tunnel civil works, including segmental lining erection and backfill grouting.
• Ensure tunnel lining installation, ring build quality, and grouting operations meet designs, specs and QA standards.
• Oversee construction of cross-passages, tunnel secondary lining, invert slabs, drainage, and related works.
• Monitor tunnel geometry, lining integrity, settlement data, and structural performance for safety and compliance.
• Coordinate with TBM, geotechnical, survey, and design teams to manage interfaces and address technical issues.
• Review method statements, ITPs, and QA procedures for tunnel civil activities.
• Manage subcontractors, supervisors, and crews to hit production targets while maintaining quality and safety.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to ground conditions, water ingress, movements and interfaces.
• Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and resources for tunnel operations.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and cost, providing reports and improvement recommendations.
• Lead inspections, testing, defect rectification, and handover to ensure project compliance.
• Ensure all activities comply with project HSE requirements, regulations and industry best practices.
