Senior Tunnel and Underground Structures Engineer - Parsons Corporation - Dubai, UAE. This role provides specialist leadership for metro and railway underground infrastructure projects. The focus is on concept and preliminary design of tunnels, underground stations, diaphragm walls, and deep excavation systems, ensuring technical excellence, constructability, and alignment with geotechnical and safety requirements across major rail developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for concept and preliminary design of bored tunnels, cut‑and‑cover tunnels, underground stations, and associated structures.
• Lead development of design solutions considering ground conditions, groundwater behavior, temporary works, and construction methodologies.
• Assess structural stability including uplift, flotation, soil‑structure interaction, and settlement impacts.
• Prepare and review design assumptions, engineering calculations, and technical reports for underground works.
• Support feasibility studies, option assessments, and risk evaluations for metro infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, structural, civil, architectural, and systems teams to ensure integrated underground design.
• Review contractor and consultant designs to confirm compliance with international codes and project standards.
• Identify technical risks related to tunneling and underground construction and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Participate in stakeholder discussions and authority coordination related to underground infrastructure.
• Contribute to technical reviews and continuous improvement initiatives within the rail program.
