Job summary

KEO International Consultants seeks a senior Transportation/ Civil Engineer to lead planning studies and master plans in the UAE. You will develop traffic models, prepare impact reports, and oversee multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-ready solutions for large-scale developments.

Applicants should have 10+ years’ experience, a relevant degree, and familiarity with GCC regional standards. On-site role with opportunity for professional growth and project mobility within KEO’s global teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Transportation or Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation planning and large developments.
• Membership in a professional institution desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare traffic studies, master plans, and transportation impact reports.
• Use SYNCHRO, Sidra, VISUM/VISSIM to model intersections and networks.
• Develop client-ready technical approaches and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with teams across disciplines.
• Support master plan development for new cities and towns.

Responsibilities

Preparing Access and Circulation Studies, Transportation Impact Studies and Transportation Master Plans. Preparing traffic survey data reports. Using SYNCHRO, Sidra and HCS to assess intersection operation and develop improvement measures Supporting the development and interrogation of strategic and micro-simulation transport models including VISUM and VISSIM Preparing and delivering of presentations to Clients and Approving Authorities Undertaking checks and reviews to ensure others work is comprehensive and accurate and applies sound engineering principals and standards. Mentoring junior staff members Responding to requests for proposals - technical approach and financials. Developing strong communication and working relationships with colleagues, management, subcontractors, public agencies and clients which support collaborative work practices Managing own continuous development and support the development of colleagues. Supporting the development of master plans for new cities and towns Working to client requirements using CUBE & STEAM tool.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering or equivalent and more than 10 years of experience in a similar position. Having a membership of a professional institution is desirable. Furthermore, you should demonstrate: Proven experience as part of a multidisciplinary team providing transportation advice and solutions on large scale developments. Experience with ITC in Abu Dhabi, RTA in Dubai, MoTC in Qatar and other GCC regional municipalities. Proficiency in software such as CUBE/STEAM/VISUM/VISSIM, Synchro, Sidra, HCS, CAD, Auto-turn. Also Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Microsoft Project. Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
