Job summary

KEO Group in Ras Al Khaimah seeks a Senior Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) to oversee delivery of roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage and water infrastructure for large-scale developments.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years in civil engineering, with at least 5 years UAE experience in supervision or consultancy, and strong design and contract administration skills. Familiarity with FIDIC is preferred, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 10–12 years of civil engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure.
• At least 5 years UAE experience in supervision or consultancy.
• Experience in roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, water and related works.
• FIDIC contracts familiarity preferred.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency is advantageous.
• UAE driving licence preferred.
• Experience on large-scale residential or master-planned communities.
• Knowledge of Ras Al Khaimah authority requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site infrastructure construction works.
• Monitor contractor performance against drawings, specs, contracts, and quality standards.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, inspectors, contractors, authorities, and client.
• Monitor progress and identify delays or issues, proposing solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and local requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing/commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports and site documentation.
• Support review of contractor claims, variations and payments.
• Mentor junior engineers and site supervision team.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) to support the delivery of infrastructure works for the Al Raha Island development in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and supervision of roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, water supply, and associated infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

• Supervise the execution of infrastructure construction works on site.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Review and provide technical input on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, inspectors, contractors, utility authorities, and the client to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or technical issues, proposing practical solutions.
• Ensure all works comply with health, safety, environmental, and local authority requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing and commissioning activities where required.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
• Support the review of contractor claims, variations, and payment applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the site supervision team.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10- 15 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years of UAE experience in construction supervision or consultancy.
• Proven experience in roads, utilities, stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated infrastructure works.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality control, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is preferred.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an advantage.
• UAE driving licence is preferred.
• Experience working on large-scale residential, mixed-use, or master-planned community developments.
• Previous experience on projects for government or semi-government developers is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Ras Al Khaimah and Northern Emirates authority requirements is preferred.
