Job summary

KEO Group in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to join the Infrastructure team. You will develop traffic and transportation designs, master plans, and detailed reports for large-scale developments, collaborating with clients and authorities.

The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor's in Transportation or Civil Engineering and 10+ years in a similar position, with proficiency in major transport modelling tools and a strong command of English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related roles.
• Membership of a professional institution is desirable.
• Proficiency with CUBE/STEAM, VISUM/VISSIM, Synchro, Sidra and HCS.
• Experience with CAD, AutoTurn and Microsoft Office; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Access and Circulation Studies, Transportation Impact Studies and Master Plans.
• Develop traffic survey data reports and present findings to clients and authorities.
• Utilize Synchro, Sidra, HCS, VISUM and VISSIM for intersection analysis and modelling.
• Support macro/micro transport models and stakeholder engagements.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in proposals with technical and financial inputs.

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Transportation Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Dubai, UAE.

This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, developing traffic and transportation designs.

We envisage success in this role to include:

• Preparing Access and Circulation Studies, Transportation Impact Studies and Transportation Master Plans.
• Preparing traffic survey data reports.
• Using SYNCHRO, Sidra and HCS to assess intersection operation and develop improvement measures
• Supporting the development and interrogation of strategic and micro-simulation transport models including VISUM and VISSIM
• Preparing and delivering of presentations to Clients and Approving Authorities
• Undertaking checks and reviews to ensure others work is comprehensive and accurate and applies sound engineering principals and standards.
• Mentoring junior staff members
• Responding to requests for proposals - technical approach and financials.
• Developing strong communication and working relationships with colleagues, management, subcontractors, public agencies and clients which support collaborative work practices
• Managing own continuous development and support the development of colleagues.
• Supporting the development of master plans for new cities and towns
• Working to client requirements using CUBE & STEAM tool.

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering or equivalent and more than 10 years of experience in a similar position. Having a membership of a professional institution is desirable.

Furthermore, you should demonstrate:

• Proven experience as part of a multidisciplinary team providing transportation advice and solutions on large scale developments.
• Experience with ITC in Abu Dhabi, RTA in Dubai, MoTC in Qatar and other GCC regional municipalities.
• Proficiency in software such as CUBE/STEAM/VISUM/VISSIM, Synchro, Sidra, HCS, CAD, Auto-turn. Also Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
