Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to develop multimodal transport strategies and models in the UAE. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on public and private sector projects, applying best practices to enhance mobility and reduce environmental impact.

The role requires 5+ years in transport planning or mobility analysis, proficiency with VISSIM/AIMSUN/VISUM/SYNCHRO, and strong communication skills in English (Arabic a plus).

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning, traffic modelling, or mobility analysis.
• Proficiency with transport modelling software.
• Knowledge of UAE transport regulations and sustainability guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate transport models and forecasts for road, transit, and active travel.
• Prepare traffic impact assessments and mitigation strategies for development projects.
• Support sustainable transport plans, corridor studies, and mobility strategies.
• Conduct field data collection, traffic counts, and surveys.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants to integrate transport solutions into designs.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Assist in tender documents, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Stay updated on local regulations and emerging mobility technologies.
• Mentor junior staff and knowledge-sharing within the team.
