Qualifications

Transport Planning Specialist - Dubai

This role involves contributing to various transport planning studies, including large-scale master plans, traffic impact studies, and multi-disciplinary projects in both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) independently in Dubai, coordinating with RTA departments.
2. Apply knowledge of transport planning, traffic engineering, and travel demand theory.
3. Utilize project experience in the Middle East, adhering to local standards and practices.
4. Understand the role of transport planning in urban development and mobility.
5. Manage traffic engineering and transport planning for large developments.
6. Prepare reports aligned with RTA requirements.
7. Review and oversee traffic analysis and TIS processes.
8. Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
9. Learn new skills quickly and work independently.
10. Possess project and financial management experience.
11. Support business growth and promote Atkins services.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
2. 12-15 years of experience in traffic modeling and transport planning.
3. Experience with RTA TIS Guidelines and as a registered RTA TIS Liaison Engineer.
4. Proven experience with large Traffic Impact Studies in the UAE.
5. Teamwork experience and a master's degree in transport planning are desirable.
6. Proficiency in traffic engineering software (SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCS) and Microsoft Office.
7. Knowledge of UAE authority guidelines and manuals.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
