Job summary

Hudson IT and Manpower is seeking an experienced Competent Person (CP) with strong Transmission Line project expertise in the UAE. The role involves ensuring safe, compliant execution of transmission line activities, monitoring site operations, and adherence to engineering, HSE, quality and client requirements.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Transmission Line projects, with 3 years UAE experience.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements, risk assessments and safe working practices.
• UAE/GCC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Competent Person (CP) for Transmission Line construction and site activities.
• Supervise and monitor transmission line construction, installation, erection, testing, and related activities.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, method statements and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve technical and site issues.
• Monitor activities near energized systems and ensure proper safety controls.
• Verify workers, tools and methods meet project requirements.
• Report incidents and support corrective actions.
