Job summary

Client of Hudson Manpower seeks an experienced Competent Person CP with Transmission Line project experience in the UAE. The candidate will ensure safe and compliant execution of transmission line activities, monitoring site operations and adherence to approved engineering, HSE, quality and client requirements.

Responsibilities include acting as CP for construction and site activities, supervising erection, testing and related works, and ensuring compliance with drawings, method statements,

Qualifications

• BE BTech Diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Transmission Line projects.
• Valid ADNOC or TAQA Approval as Competent Person CP.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements, work permits and risk assessments.
• UAE GCC project experience preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Competent Person CP for Transmission Line construction and site activities.
• Supervise transmission line construction, installation, erection, testing and related activities.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, method statements, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and identify unsafe conditions, hazards and risks.
• Coordinate with client, consultant, QA/QC, HSE and client teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor lifting, excavation, tower erection, stringing and conductor installation activities.
• Ensure safety controls near energized electrical systems and utilities are followed.
• Maintain CP documentation and inspection records; stop unsafe work when needed.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Competent Person CP with experience in Transmission Line projects in the UAE The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and compliant execution of transmission line activities monitoring site operations and ensuring adherence to approved engineering HSE quality and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Competent Person CP for Transmission Line construction and site activities


• Supervise and monitor transmission line construction installation erection testing and related activities


• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings method statements specifications and project requirements


• Conduct site inspections and identify unsafe conditions hazards and potential risks


• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations client standards HSE requirements and project procedures


• Review and verify work permits risk assessments method statements and job safety requirements


• Coordinate with Construction Engineering QA QC HSE and client teams to resolve technical and site issues


• Monitor lifting excavation tower erection stringing conductor installation and other transmission line activities as applicable


• Ensure proper implementation of safety controls during work near energized electrical systems and existing utilities


• Verify that personnel tools equipment and work methods are suitable and compliant with project requirements


• Conduct toolbox talks and provide technical safety guidance to site personnel where required


• Report incidents near misses unsafe acts conditions and non-conformities and support corrective actions


• Maintain required inspection records checklists permits and CP documentation


• Liaise with the client consultant and ensure compliance with their specific requirements


• Stop or suspend unsafe work where necessary and ensure corrective measures are implemented

Job Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• BE BTech Diploma in Electrical Engineering


• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Transmission Line projects


• Valid ADNOC or TAQA Approval as Competent Person CP


• Strong knowledge of Transmission Line construction and site activities


• Good understanding of HSE requirements work permits risk assessments and safe working practices


• UAE GCC project experience will be preferred


• Good communication and coordination skills


• Ability to work effectively with contractors consultants and client representatives
