Job summary

GULBAHAR in Dubai (JAFZA) seeks an experienced Senior Packing Technician with hands-on knowledge of cigarette packing lines to ensure efficient production. You will operate GD/X2, X1, X3, X6, C600, Focke F3, F4 and F5 equipment, performing changeovers and troubleshooting to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years in packaging operations, a technical diploma, and the ability to lead junior operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical or production engineering.
• Hands-on experience with cigarette/tobacco packaging machinery is required.
• Experience with GD, Hauni, and Decoupler machines is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of machine setup, changeover, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Commitment to safety, SOPs, GMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor packing machines per production requirements.
• Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, and parameter settings for products.
• Monitor performance, material usage, waste, and downtime.
• Coordinate with maintenance for major breakdowns.
• Carry out routine cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure packaging standards.
• Maintain production records and report issues.
• Guide junior operators and production assistants.
