Job summary

Allocation Assist is seeking an experienced Consultant Thoracic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The role requires extensive post-fellowship experience in thoracic surgery, with a focus on complex procedures and minimally invasive techniques.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams, perform open, MIS and thoracoscopic surgeries, and contribute to teaching and governance while providing high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with specialist qualifications in Thoracic Surgery.
• Completion of a recognized sub-specialty fellowship in Thoracic Surgery.
• 5+ years of experience after fellowship preferred.
• Strong experience in complex thoracic surgical procedures.
• Formal training or experience in robotic thoracic surgery preferred.
• Experience with minimally invasive thoracic surgery (VATS) desirable.
• Excellent clinical, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Eligible for professional registration/licensing in Saudi Arabia (SCFHS).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality specialist care for thoracic surgical conditions.
• Perform a broad range of open, minimally invasive and thoracoscopic procedures.
• Manage complex thoracic and pulmonary conditions, including malignancies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams with oncology, pulmonology, radiology and other specialties.
• Conduct outpatient consultations, pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support teaching, training and mentoring of junior medical staff.
