Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior Technician Security Systems based in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee installations and maintenance of security systems across commercial sectors, ensuring high standards of service. Candidates should have at least 6 years of relevant experience including working with CCTV and Access Control systems. A valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience with installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing various brands of CCTV systems.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience working on Access Control systems.
• Experience with Road Blockers, Bollards, Gate Barriers, and Fire Systems.

Job description

What you will do

The Senior Technician Security Systems is a key role reporting directly to the Field Line Manager and will be based in Abu Dhabi. The Aftermarket CFS team carries out service maintenance and retrofit projects on Security Systems used for comfort and energy efficiency across multiple industries including commercial, retail, and hospitality.

As a Senior Technician, you will support commissioning, replacing controllers, and will be responsible for onsite system verification, PPM activities, testing & commissioning of additional doors/cameras, upgrades, service reports of Security Management Systems (SMS), and managing an overall team of technicians and subcontractors on a roster-based 24/7 duty shift plan.

How you will do it

You must have good knowledge of the latest security system products, electronics, and networking. You will be hands-on with programming controllers, installing & commissioning various Access Control & CCTV System platforms, Visitor Management Systems, Speed gates, Car Park barriers, Road Blockers, Bollards, ANPR, and setting up third-party software integrations. You will demonstrate expertise by conducting system operation training, creating handover documents, and maintaining high safety standards at all times.

What we look for

Required

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing various brands of CCTV systems (e.g., Avigilon, HIK, Pelco), thermal cameras, and CCTV storage systems.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience working on Access Control systems (CEM & C-CURE ACS applications).
• Experience with Intrusion detection, ANPR, and PAVA systems.
• Experience with Road Blockers, Bollards, Gate Barriers, and Fire Systems.
• Hardware level integration experience with lifts, thermal cameras, and perimeter detection systems.
• Experience in preparing ADMCC submittals and understanding requirements.
• Ability to organize and utilize technical resources effectively, support tasks, and coordinate with third-party service providers and vendors.
• Problem-solving skills for complex system issues, troubleshooting, and advising on resolutions.
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to escalate technical issues and provide coaching and assistance to team members and clients.
• Act as a focal point for client communication with sales and manufacturers to meet client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients' IT teams to understand and implement IT & network requirements.
• Knowledge of UPS systems.
• Support the team with technical expertise on systems, networks, security products, and applications.
• Experience in preparing incident and root cause analysis reports.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
• Valid UAE Driving License.
