Senior Technician, Radio Frequency

Role Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician with extensive experience in RF components, including antennas, transmitters, and receivers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing RF laboratory operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading a team of technicians to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Testing & Evaluation: Lead the preparation, acceptance testing, and qualification of RF products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and electromagnetic requirements.
2. RF Lab Management: Oversee inventory and operations of RF lab equipment, including anechoic chamber calibration.
3. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to plan and execute RF projects successfully.
5. Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and contractors.
6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of procedures, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Specific Job Competencies:

• Expertise with RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers.
• Advanced fault-finding and problem-solving skills at subsystem and system levels.
• Understanding of systems engineering processes including acceptance, qualification, and field testing.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic theory and RF measurement techniques (antenna gain, VSWR, S-parameters).

Experience:

• Minimum of 9 years of hands-on experience in Radio Frequency and Electromagnetics.
• Demonstrated application of electromagnetic principles in development engineering, with both theoretical and practical expertise.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Physics or Electromagnetics Technology from an accredited institution.
