About the Job
The jobholder is responsible for conducting instrumentation and control maintenance for equipment located in the respective asset, plant, or equipment. The goal is to ensure maintenance activities are performed safely, continuously, and reliably, according to their intended purpose, at a high-quality level. Additionally, the role involves maintaining personal tools and housekeeping in the instrumentation and control workshop to meet defined KPIs, and coordinating with contractors and external parties as required.
Key Accountabilities
Maintenance Execution
- Perform assigned jobs following risk assessments and comply with ADNOC HSE Procedures.
- Conduct scheduled predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance on plant equipment according to approved procedures and work instructions to ensure proper operation and compliance with international standards.
- Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance on all types of equipment independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate properly regarding task status and reports.
- Record all activities in SAP, including time writing and technical feedback via notifications.
- Monitor equipment during routine inspections, report abnormalities, and defects.
- Assist or conduct major/minor repairs on critical equipment during shutdowns, maintaining job data logs.
- Propose improvements to enhance HSE, maintenance programs, and equipment reliability.
- Support commissioning and pre-commissioning activities for new projects.
- Assist plant operations during emergencies, shutdowns, and start-ups.
- Participate in designing the company's On Call system for unplanned shutdowns and process upsets.
- Operate, repair, and test lifting equipment according to recognized standards.
- Participate in condition monitoring and notify engineers of any issues.
- Conduct new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment, ensuring all parameters are checked before handover.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faulty components on rotating and static equipment using manuals, drawings, and diagrams.
- Perform shutdown maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on all equipment types.
Workshop & Spare Parts
- Operate and maintain the electrical workshop, ensuring equipment and tools are in good condition and compliant with OEM recommendations.
- Maintain workplace housekeeping and comply with all HSE and fire regulations.
- Discuss work assignments with supervisors, examine faulty equipment, and gather necessary tools and spare parts.
- Identify spare parts required for maintenance from drawings and spare parts lists.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in Instrument & Control discipline.
- Experience with electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical plant safety procedures and quality maintenance records.
- Effective communication and technical report writing skills in English.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in installation, repair, testing, and maintenance in oil/gas or petrochemical industries.
- Thorough understanding of HSE requirements for field maintenance.
- Basic SAP operations related to maintenance and familiarity with computerized tools.
- Ability to inspect and test equipment using wiring diagrams and testing devices.
- Extensive experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of control valves and transmitters.
- Experience in field instrument calibration and using HART communicators.
- Awareness of MCMS, DCS, PLC, and ESD software.
- Ability to document and report abnormal conditions effectively.
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance manuals and engineering drawings for troubleshooting and optimization.
