Job summary

Johnson Controls in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Technician for Fire Suppression & Detection systems reporting to the Senior Team Leader. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, testing and commissioning of Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation and Central Battery/Exit Light systems, and generate service reports.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics, 5+ years' experience, strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, and a license in fire alarm programming is

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics
• Minimum 5 years experience
• In-depth knowledge of Fire Alarm maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, testing and commissioning
• Fire Alarm System Programming License Holder preferred
• Knowledge in Central Battery systems (Cooper/CEAG/Inotec)
• Knowledge in Public Addressing and Voice Evacuation systems
• Team attitude and self-starting work ethics with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive, independent and open-minded
• Ability to find technically optimal solutions

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support including maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, testing and commissioning of Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation and Central Battery systems
• Manage day-to-day technical system errors and issues and prepare technical/service reports for the review of the Service Engineer/OPS team leader
• Maintain the Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation and Central Battery systems per procedures and checklists
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance per approved schedule
• Prepare field service reports with applicable checklists
• Report to site engineer on technical concerns and status daily
• Maintain daily service log
• Manage technicians to complete tasks on time
• Support service engineer for customer concerns
