Job summary

EDGE in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Environmental Testing Technician for Halcon to support environmental qualification and validation of aerospace and defense systems. You will lead test planning, instrumentation setup, and execution to ensure performance and reliability across development stages.

Collaborating with engineering teams, you will develop test facilities and fixtures, analyze results, and mentor staff while upholding testing best practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Testing Technician for Halcon to support the environmental qualification and validation of advanced aerospace and defense systems. The role involves test planning, instrumentation setup, test execution, performance evaluation, and the development of test equipment and facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and environmental requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute environmental test plans for components, assemblies, and systems during development, qualification, and acceptance phases.
• Configure and integrate test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test fixtures to support testing activities.
• Analyze test results and evaluate mechanical equipment performance against design requirements and engineering predictions.
• Support the development and maintenance of environmental testing facilities while mentoring technical staff and ensuring testing best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma, B.Tech, M.Tech, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of Test & Evaluation experience within aerospace, defense, aviation, or other high-technology engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of environmental testing methodologies, test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and performance analysis.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, using CAD tools, and supporting the development of test fixtures, jigs, and test equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting aerospace, missile, guided munition, defense, or military product development programs.
• Experience designing and integrating environmental test stands, instrumentation systems, and qualification testing facilities.
