Role Purpose:
The Technical Sales Engineer will utilize sales knowledge in marine propulsion and generators, with experience in pumps and ventilation, to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets with marine OEMs and refit sectors. Collaborate closely with clients and suppliers to align strategies and effectively meet company objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Cultivate strong relationships with boat builders, OEMs, and mechanical engineers to secure projects involving propulsion and generator systems.
- Identify and engage new end-user customers to establish long-term agreements, coordinating with key supply and installation processes.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure compliance with installation standards.
- Be responsible for converting opportunities from creation through to close, communicating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Ensure sales targets are achieved in line with supplier and client expectations.
- Stay updated on industry trends to demonstrate products, identify potential projects, and market opportunities.
- Provide expert advice on product selection and application to boost sales.
- Maintain CRM records and generate sales forecasts for management.
- Collaborate internally to streamline project processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify case study opportunities and collaborate with marketing for promotion.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, customer preferences, and competitor activities to adapt strategies.
- Coordinate projects, tenders, and technical support with suppliers and internal teams.
- Attend boat shows, exhibitions, and other events organized or sponsored by Exalto Emirates to support business objectives and represent the company professionally.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with project management skills.
- ERP software knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting architectural drawings and building plans.
- Technical aptitude for mechanical products.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in marine mechanical systems.
- Proven track record in sales growth, key account management, and business development.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with architects and developers.
