Role Overview

As a Senior Technical Engineer in the Public Cloud team, you will actively develop and mature the product and services roadmap for the public cloud, aligning with architecture principles and IT strategy. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, supporting, and delivering automated, cost-effective public cloud services, working on landing zone components, shared services, network, policies, and consumable services using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. You will also participate in application onboarding and cloud cost optimization, recommending and implementing savings plans where applicable.

In This Role You Will

• Develop the public cloud roadmap, providing recommendations for enhancements and implementing cloud-native capabilities to replace traditional services.
• Follow Emirates' Agile Delivery methodology to design and deliver features aligned with the roadmap, including implementing landing zones and shared services through code.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code automation across all public cloud offerings using Terraform.
• Enforce standards, security compliance, and guardrails via policies coded into infrastructure.
• Assist in establishing cloud cost optimization practices.
• Understand cloud networking and assist in network management and application onboarding to the cloud.
• Maintain product documentation and low-level design documents on Confluence.
• Provide operational support to cloud services in line with service level agreements.
• Foster the development of high-performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered, you should meet the following requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with AWS and Azure cloud providers.
• Overall 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Certifications: AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect.
• Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud engineering and delivery (5+ years).
• Hands-on experience in MS Azure Cloud engineering and delivery (5+ years).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation platforms such as Terraform and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of ITIL and Agile frameworks.
• Experience with AKAMAI CDN and GTM capabilities.
• Kubernetes experience.
