Job summary

Home Harmony (HH Metal) seeks a Senior Technical Engineer to lead the technical side of projects from tender and design development through submittals, approvals and execution support.

The role covers aluminium glazing, louvers, cladding, balustrades and metalworks with UAE/GCC experience. Immediate joining and strong coordination with drafting teams and authorities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience with an aluminium, glazing or metalwork subcontractor, including 5 years in the UAE/GCC.
• Proven hands-on experience in curtain wall, windows/doors, skylights, louvres, cladding and balustrades.
• Experience in steel fabrication: pergolas, gates, staircases, shade structures and structural steel.
• Track record of getting submittals approved with main contractors, consultants, DM and Civil Defence.
• Familiar with ASTM, BS EN and AAMA standards.
• Cost-aware; able to support estimation, tendering and variations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, specifications and drawings; prepare technical proposals, clarifications and value-engineering options.
• Design systems in line with project specs and supplier data.
• Prepare full submittal packages: material submittals, 2D shop drawings, 3D models and method statements; close out consultant comments to approval.
• Lead and check shop drawings, fabrication drawings and quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence and other authority requirements.
• Support the factory and site teams on technical queries, site remedial works and testing.
• Raise and support technical variations; maintain technical document control and revision tracking.
• Mentor junior engineers and draftsmen.

IMMEDIATE JOINING REQUIRED

HH Metal (Home Harmony Metal Blacksmithing & Aluminium Works L.L.C.) is a UAE aluminium, glazing and architectural metalwork contractor with its own factory in Umm Al Quwain. We work as nominated and direct subcontractor for leading developers, main contractors and consultants across the UAE on residential towers, mixed-use developments, villas and hospitality projects.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer to lead the technical side of our projects, from tender and design development through submittals, approvals and execution support. The role covers our full scope of work:

• Aluminium and glazing: curtain wall, sliding and hinged windows/doors, skylights (including retractable skylights)
• Louvre screens, metal cladding, mashrabiya and decorative screens
• Glass and metal balustrades, handrails and spiral staircases
• Pergolas, tensile fabric shade structures and canopies
• Sliding/swing gates, vertical bifold and garage doors
• Structural steel and miscellaneous metal works

Key responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, specifications and architectural drawings; prepare technical proposals, clarifications, compliance statements and value-engineering options.
• Select and design systems in line with project specs and supplier data (Gulf Extrusions, Schüco, Alumil, etc.).
• Prepare full submittal packages: material submittals, 2D shop drawings, 3D models and method statements; close out consultant comments to approval.
• Lead and check shop drawings, fabrication drawings and quantity take-offs prepared by the drafting team.
• Coordinate with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence and other authority requirements.
• Support the factory and site teams on technical queries, site remedial works, interface details, mock-ups and testing.
• Raise and support technical variations; maintain technical document control and revision tracking.
• Mentor junior engineers and draftsmen.

Working hours: Monday–Saturday, per company schedule.

Joining: Immediate. Candidates available to join immediately will be prioritised.

Location: Dubai office with regular visits to the Umm Al Quwain factory and project sites.
