As a Senior Technical Engineer in the Public Cloud team, you will take an active role in developing and maturing the product and services roadmap on the public cloud, in alignment with architecture principles and IT strategy. You will design, develop, support, and deliver automated and cost-effective public cloud services. This includes working on landing zone components, shared services, network, policies, and consumable services, using Infrastructure as Code through Terraform. The successful candidate will also take part in application onboarding and cost optimisation on the cloud, recommending and implementing saving plans wherever applicable.

In this role you will:
- Take an active role in developing the public cloud roadmap. Provide recommendations and feedback for enhancements. Recommend and implement cloud native capabilities to replace traditional services.
- Follow Emirates Agile Delivery methodology to design and deliver features aligned with the roadmap. Implement and maintain landing zones and availability zones through code as well as shared services through code.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code automation in all public cloud offerings and services through Terraform.
- Enforce standards, security compliance, and guardrails using policies through code.
- Assist in establishing cost optimization practices on the cloud.
- Have a solid understanding of cloud networking and have the ability to assist in network management as well as participate in application onboarding to the public cloud.
- Establish and maintain product documentation and low-level design documents on Confluence.
- Provide required operational support to cloud services in line with the agreed service levels.
- Foster the development of high-performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Experience working with Public Cloud providers AWS/Azure: 5+ Years
- Overall 8+ Years of experience within Information Technology.
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent): Degree in Information Technology
- Certifications: AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect
- 5+ Years of Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud engineering and delivery.
- 5+ Years of Hands-on experience in MS Azure Cloud engineering and delivery.
- Excellent knowledge in scripting and automation platforms (such as: Terraform and Jenkins)
- Knowledge/skills: ITIL and AGILE Frameworks
- AKAMAI knowledge on CDN and GTM Capabilities
