Senior Technical Designer Furniture Manufacture

• 8+ years experience in technical furniture design and/or FF&E - bonus if you have experience of working with a furniture manufacturer
• Strong portfolio of high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial work
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar tools
• Deep understanding of joinery, materials, and production techniques
• Proven leadership or team development experience
• Excellent communicator and problem-solver
• Detail-obsessed with a hands-on approach
• Bonus - Experience managing external fabricators or global supply chains and/or background in studio operations or process improvement

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee detailed technical drawings for custom furniture and FF&E
• Collaborate closely with production, design, and procurement teams
• Ensure manufacturability, material integrity, and installation feasibility
• Maintain and elevate CAD/BIM standards across the studio
• Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior designers
• Drive innovation in materials, detailing, and production processes
• Manage workload, deadlines, and quality control across multiple projects
• Act as a bridge between creative design intent and technical execution
