Job summary

Help AG seeks a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to anchor the engineering team in Dubai. You will write production code, own architecture decisions and mentor engineers while providing expert-level production support.

The role blends full-stack development with architectural leadership, including AI initiatives and cloud infrastructure management. A strong coding background and proactive problem-solving are essential in this fast-paced hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience across full lifecycle.
• Background or working knowledge of cybersecurity practices preferred.
• Proven production systems ownership and live troubleshooting experience.
• Prior experience with AI-related projects is a plus.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring / Spring Boot; proficient in Python and React.js.
• Kubernetes expertise; cloud infrastructure across Azure and OCI.
• Solid grounding in software design and system architecture principles.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead technically while maintaining coding focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software development, including design, coding, testing, deployment and production support.
• Own and evolve system architecture and infrastructure for scalable, resilient applications.
• Provide L2/L3 production support with hands-on troubleshooting and RCA for critical incidents.
• Mentor and unblock engineers; guide teams through complex technical decisions.
• Design and implement full-stack solutions from backend to frontend.
• Work on AI-driven projects and integrate AI/ML capabilities into production systems.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and networking (NSGs, ingress controllers, proxies, gateways).
• Drive DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on Azure DevOps.
• Support stakeholders and customers with technical guidance and issue resolution.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, code quality and continuous improvement.
