Job summary

Vanderlande Industries GmbH in Dubai seeks a Senior Team Leader & Project Delivery Lead to drive strategic digital solution implementations across the Middle East. You will manage a team of data integration engineers and solution specialists, coordinating with Customer Success and Product teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and to high quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in digital projects, data integration, or solution architecture.
• 3+ years in leadership or technical leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python/Java, APIs, SQL and cloud tech.
• Experience in aviation, airports, logistics, or industrial automation is desirable.

Senior Team Leader & Project Delivery Lead

We are a leading provider of innovative, high-performance solutions for airport logistics. Our portfolio includes products and services for baggage and cargo handling, advanced software for the digitalization of logistics processes, and a comprehensive range of maintenance and support services. Our major clients include renowned airports and airlines around the world.

Your Mission

Lead the successful delivery of strategic digital solution implementation projects across the Middle East. You will manage a team of Data Integration Engineers and Solution Specialists and interface with Customer Success Managers and Product Managers. Acting as a senior delivery leader, you will ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards, while building long-term customer relationships and contributing to the growth of the regional business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of customer projects from initiation through go-live and operational handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including software engineers, data integration specialists, business analysts, and external partners.
• Monitor project scope, budget, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Drive project governance activities and report progress to senior management and customer stakeholders.
• Facilitate project steering committees, design reviews, and executive status meetings.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks.
• Support contract execution by managing change requests, technical clarifications, and solution impacts.
• Ensure successful site coordination for customer deployments in the Middle-East including UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and others.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning for team members.
• Allocate resources across concurrent projects based on business priorities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of engineering talent in the Middle East region.
• Foster a culture of delivery excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in digital projects, data integration, enterprise applications, software engineering, or solution architecture.
• 3+ years of leadership or technical leadership experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python, Java, APIs, SQL, cloud technologies, and integration platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience within aviation, airport operations, logistics, supply chain, or industrial automation is highly desirable.
• Proven experience leading enterprise software, data integration, or digital transformation projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder groups.
• Experience with project governance, risk management, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid delivery frameworks.
• PMP, Prince2, AgilePM, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capability.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with executives, customers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• High degree of ownership, resilience, and adaptability.
• Passion for developing people and creating high‑performing teams.
