Job summary

Mediclinic International is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Engineer to guide planning, documentation, implementation, operation, security and reliability of ICT systems and on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, storage, backups, DR, identity services, email and cloud platforms.

You will operate across architecture, platform engineering, operations, security, cloud modernization, project delivery, vendor governance and continuous service improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science or ICT related field.
• Microsoft infrastructure certifications such as MCSE/MCSA or modern Microsoft role-based equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation and vendor certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Aid with documenting and improving infrastructure systems architecture
• Maintain, monitor, update and secure infrastructure systems equipment and services
• Identify, diagnose and resolve systems-related incidents and problems
• Own and support backup governance, disaster recovery, cloud, identity and hybrid platform operations
• Support ITIL governance, CMDB accuracy, knowledge sharing, vendor governance, procurement input, automation, project delivery and cross-functional collaboration

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To guide and support the planning, documentation, implementation, operation, security and reliability of ICT systems services, including on-premises infrastructure, virtualisation, storage, backup, disaster recovery, identity services, email, cloud platforms, monitoring and automation aimed at operational efficiency, productivity and resilient healthcare service delivery. Operates within a consolidated engineering model where the engineer contributes across architecture, platform engineering, operations, security, cloud modernisation, project delivery, vendor governance, technology lifecycle management and continuous service improvement across multiple systems domains.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Aid with documenting and improving infrastructure systems architecture
• Maintain, monitor, update and secure infrastructure systems equipment and services
• Identify, diagnose and resolve systems-related incidents and problems
• Own and support backup governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, cloud, identity and hybrid platform operations

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• Relevant bachelor degree in computer science or ICT related field. Microsoft infrastructure certification such as MCSE/MCSA or modern Microsoft role-based equivalent.

DESIRED EDUCATION

• ITIL Foundation. VCP, CCNA, RHCE, vendor certifications for Dell/IBM/Fujitsu/NetApp, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years experience in ICT systems support and design environment. For current Mediclinic enterprise scale and consolidated engineering delivery, 10+ years systems/infrastructure experience is preferred for senior-level delivery.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• At least 3-5 years experience with backup and disaster recovery, hardware, virtualisation technologies and relevant monitoring tools. Experience with hybrid cloud, Azure, Windows, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, storage, security hardening, automation and enterprise healthcare operations is preferred.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
