Senior Systems Analyst

The Senior Systems Analyst will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and implementing technology solutions that support business operations and digital transformation initiatives within a UAE-based organization. This role involves gathering and evaluating business requirements, improving system functionalities, and coordinating with IT and business teams to ensure systems align with organizational objectives and regulatory compliance. The analyst will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting both system enhancements and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

1. Gathering and documenting detailed business requirements through stakeholder meetings, interviews, and data analysis.
2. Analyzing current systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend optimized solutions.
3. Leading system design sessions and developing functional specifications for developers and IT teams.
4. Coordinating with vendors, developers, and testing teams to ensure timely implementation of system changes or upgrades.
5. Creating and maintaining detailed documentation including system diagrams, user manuals, and SOPs.
6. Supporting system integration, data migration, and deployment activities while minimizing disruption to operations.
7. Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new systems or processes.
8. Ensuring all IT systems and workflows comply with UAE data protection laws and industry-specific regulations.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems analysis, with proven experience delivering IT/business solutions in the UAE.
3. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), system integration, and business process modeling.
4. Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Visio, UML, ERP systems, and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
5. Knowledge of UAE data compliance laws (e.g., PDPL), cyber security best practices, and regulatory frameworks.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage for public sector or client-facing roles.
