Job summary

talentbridgedubai seeks a Senior System & Network Engineer to be based in Dubai, UAE. The role covers installation, maintenance, security, and disaster recovery across servers and networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent).
• CCNP certification.
• Strong knowledge of networks, systems, software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Knowledge of system security techniques and data backup/recovery.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and workstations.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot outages to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with network architects to optimize network design.
• Maintain and administer networks and computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and configurations.
• Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
• Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
• Replace faulty network hardware components when required.
• Maintain, configure, and monitor virus protection software and email applications.
• Manage and monitor network security, including firewalls and other security systems.
• Conduct regular backup operations and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Stay current with technological advancements and security trends to ensure system security.
• Assist in network and system architecture planning and development.
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users.
• Hands-on experience with networking, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
• Experience with networking technologies, network monitoring, and network diagnostics tools.
• Experience in cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
