Job summary

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai seeks an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design and maintain scalable, high-performance Nol systems aligned with the agency's technology strategy and digital ticketing environment.

You will lead architecture design, capacity planning, security controls, disaster recovery, and ISO 20000-aligned IT service capabilities while coordinating with internal partners and vendors to ensure uninterrupted operations across RTA’s Nol payments ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or information systems.
• 3+ years (master’s) or 5+ years (Bachelor’s) in related field.
• AWS/Azure Solutions Architect Associate certification.
• Project Management Professional and ITIL Foundation certifications.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Purpose:

Deliver secure and high-performance infrastructure solutions for Nol systems by designing and maintaining architecture that supports operational continuity, business integration, and future scalability across RTA’s digital ticketing environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategy

• Design infrastructure and solution architecture in line with RTA’s technology strategy and integration needs.

• Analyze performance forecasts and conduct capacity planning to ensure scalability and continuity.

• Contribute to departmental risk registry and implement mitigation plans for infrastructure- related risks.

Operations

• Maintain and support ACS infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted services and high system availability.

• Ensure optimal Nol system performance and compliance through routine health checks, API/SDK integration with RTA/internal partners, coordination with PTOs/vendors, and preparation of incident and performance reports.

• Support operational excellence and knowledge transfer by maintaining system manuals, guidelines, providing training, and liaising with PTO stakeholders and third-party partners accepting Nol payments for seamless operations.

• Execute security controls, implement fixes from penetration tests, and ensure compliance with audit standards.

• Manage regular disaster recovery drills, backup/restore processes, and submit quarterly KPI reports.

• Maintain BIA and BCP plans to ensure preparedness for infrastructure and service disruptions.

• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of technical incidents affecting Nol systems.

Process Improvement

• Review architecture and software specifications to ensure alignment with RTA standards and best practices.

• Guide customer journey mapping and prototype design to improve service usability and experience.

• Conduct data analysis for issue resolution, fraud detection, and enhancements to digital systems.

• Implement ISO 20000-aligned IT service capabilities and support project execution as per PMO guidelines.

Physical Working Conditions

• Work involves both office tasks and field visits to transit sites for inspections and system testing. Requires adherence to safety protocols in operational environments.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering or information system

Experience: 3+ years in case of master’sdegree (5+ years in case of bachelor’s degree) in related field.
