Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Senior System Assurance Lead for the Abu Dhabi, UAE project. The role focuses on managing RAMS activities, ensuring safety and reliability requirements, and delivering RAMS documentation to clients.

You will work with regional and global RAMS leadership to resolve issues and align with project schedules and budgets. The candidate will guide V&V activities, interface with contractors, and support bids while ensuring compliance with EN 50126/28/29 and related standards.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years railway experience in system assurance.
• 5+ years as System Assurance Manager in similar projects.
• Proven track record with EN 50126/28/29.
• Experience coordinating RAMS with RAMS leadership.
• Ability to interface with clients and contractors.
• Managing V&V activities within schedule/budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead RAMS activities and ensure compliance with project RAMS requirements.
• Monitor V&V plans, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with D&B contractors to meet hitachi project timelines.
• Report progress to internal management and client stakeholders.
• Support bids and proposals with RAMS input.
• Mentor local and offshore RAMS teams and manage workload.

Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior System Assurance Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Abu Dhabi - UAE.
Who We Are:
Hitachi Rail is an international leader with a global presence in signaling and the implementation of integrated transport systems for freight and passenger railways, as well as mass transit systems. We design, manufacture and implement signaling systems for the management and control of freight and passenger traffic on mainline railways as well as metros.
The person in role would be required to perform wide range of techno managerial activities, some of which include

• at least 10-12 years of relevant railway experience in working in system assurance work and at least 5 years' experience as a System Assurance Manager in managing systems assurance works of similar nature
• a successful track records for handling system assurance management in accordance with EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129 for complex railway or metro projects
• Working very closely with regional and global RAMS leadership in resolving issues and strategizing next moves in the project.
• Ensuring project compliance with RAMS requirements, through effective management of RAMS activities and monitoring of V&V activities, in compliance with schedule and budget in complex projects. (in terms of number of interfaces and or contract value)
• Ensuring the delivery of required project system assurance deliverables in timely manner, adhering to project contract and quality assurance process.
• Complying with project schedules and budget and RAMS requirements and processes as defined in the project.
• Monitoring of project V&V activities
• Interfacing with D&B contractors and ensuring that they deliver on time for Hitachi and project to meet the schedule.
• Ensuring effective communication with the clients
• Ensuring effective communication with internal and external ISAs
• Ensuring effective communication with internal senior management and timely escalation of issues within the organization to the relevant leadership.
• Ensuring system safety and reliability requirements.
• Ensure the issue of project RAMS documentation to client.
• Supporting preparation of bids and proposals.
• Leading local and offshore team effectively when in charge.
• Ensuring workload management with periodic workload updates and analysis of deviations in coordination with project planners.
• Ensuring Critical path management and alignment of RAMS schedule with project master schedule
• Contributing to the improvement of RAMS and V&V standard processes, with focus on effectiveness and cost reduction. Ensure the application of RAMS standard processes and
• Sharing project lessons learned with the RAMS department.
• Working closely with onsite and offshore project safety team
