Job summary

AECOM in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Structures BIM Lead to drive the BIM strategy across complex projects. You will lead the structural BIM, coordinating with design teams, and ensuring BEP compliance from concept through handover.

Responsibilities include managing BIM workflows, developing discipline models, and ensuring clash-free deliverables using tools like Revit, Dynamo, Grasshopper and Rhino. The role emphasizes model quality and interoperability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in digital development and BIM best practice.
• Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Familiarity with interoperability between Revit and other discipline software.
• Project set-up experience including the CDE and design models.
• Stay updated with latest BIM tools and technologies for building services.
• Oversee work of junior technicians when required.
• Proficient in BIM Execution Plan, LOD and related documents.
• Perform model checks and ensure compliance with BIM standards.
• Coordinate model setup, drawing packages and project requirements.
• Strong understanding of Revit API, Dynamo, Grasshopper and parametric modelling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the model is built per the BIM Execution Plan and project standards.
• Lead and manage BIM processes across project stages from concept to handover.
• Generate and manage 2D deliverables from the BIM model.
• Manage development and maintenance of the discipline BIM model.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models and ensure timely updates and clash-free deliverables.
• Ensure model health, compliance, and quality through regular audits.
• Coordinate with design teams to reflect accurate design intent in the model.
• Ensure drawings have correct scale, templates and title blocks.
• Support sheet creation, annotation workflows, and print reviews.
• Use BIM quality tools (Revit Warnings, Model Checker) to maintain quality.
• Support automation tools and computational design techniques.
