Job summary

Responsibilities

• Works independently and as part of a team to complete supervision activities.
• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, and method statements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor steel erection and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies or structural challenges.
• Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings.
• Review RFIs and provide responses.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and project specs.
• Monitor construction to meet design intent and authority requirements.
• Attend weekly site progress meetings.
• Collaborates with other disciplines on coordination issues.
• Maintain awareness of budgets and timelines, ensuring cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Represent the practice at project level.
• Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians.
• Role may be Project Engineer or Design Engineer on complex projects.
• Deliver work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager.
• Prepare and present client and project proposals to stakeholders.
• Support inspection teams to resolve site issues.
• Adopt creative solutions to site problems and document them.

ProjectRole

QHSE Responsibilities

• Understand, implement andfollow 9E QHSE policies.
• Implement and coordinate QHSEprocedures in your workplace.
• Comply with local regulatoryauthority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidentsimmediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSErequirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
