Job summary

9E Global Engineering Consultants LLC in Dubai invites a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to join our project teams. The candidate will supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards for steel structures.

Responsibilities include monitoring materials, inspecting fabrication and erection of steel components, coordinating with contractors, and supporting QA/QC with technical recommendations to meet safety and project guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor materials on site for compliance with requirements.
• Inspect works on site to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Lead steel fabrication and erection inspections (columns, beams, arches, purlins, trusses, bracings).
• Review welding, bolting, and steel connections for workmanship and codes.
• Witness on-site testing per contract/ITP requirements.
• Perform material verification and traceability of steel components.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare inspection reports and track corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, environmental requirements, and project guidelines.
• Support QA/QC team with technical recommendations.
• Participate in meetings and provide progress updates.

A Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.

Business Development

Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment ofexcellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.

ProjectRole

• Monitoring materials incorporated within the Works for compliance with requirements. Inspect the works on site to see that they are being built generally in accordance with the Contract drawings and specificationsand alsowith good engineering practice.
• Layout, Fit-up, Final Inspection, Dimension Check & Weld Visual Inspection for Structural Steel Fabrications such as Columns, Beams, Arches, Purlins, Trusses, and Bracings
• Inspect steel fabrication and erection works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Review welding, bolting, and other steel connection works, verifying workmanship and adherence to codes and standards.
• Witness as necessary onsite testing required under the contractspecifications/ or approved ITPor as required based on projecttrequirement.
• Conduct material verification and traceability checks for all incoming and installed steel components.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of steel works.
• Perform regular site inspections, audits, and quality checks to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, document non-conformities, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure all steel works comply with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and project-specific guidelines.
• Support the project quality control and assurance team by providing technical expertise and recommendations.
• Participate in meetings and provide updates on steel works progress, quality issues, and risk mitigation.
• Assist in reviewing contractor method statements, inspection plans, and welding procedures to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks as on when needed by Client / SteLeads.

QHSE Responsibilities

• Understand, implement andfollow 9E QHSE policies.
• Implement and coordinate QHSEprocedures in your workplace.
• Comply with local regulatoryauthority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidentsimmediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSErequirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
