Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to supervise on-site construction activities for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in Dubai. You will review contractor performance, inspect concrete and steel works, and coordinate with architects, MEP engineers and authorities.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of structural engineering experience, including 3–5 years in UAE, with consultancy supervision preferred and knowledge of Dubai regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• At least 3–5 years UAE/Dubai experience in building construction supervision.
• Experience with high-rise, residential, commercial, hospitality or mixed-use developments.
• Consultancy supervision experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE building codes and international standards.
• Experience reviewing structural shop drawings and design documentation.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural works during construction of buildings.
• Review contractor activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and contract.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, steel, post-tensioning, and other structures.
• Monitor progress and report on structural construction activities.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, contractors, and authorities.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, submittals, and RFIs.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions.
• Attend progress and technical coordination meetings.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support project handover activities and final documentation.
