Job summary

9E Global in Dubai is seeking a senior Project Engineer/Design Engineer with 12-15 years of experience in engineering consultancy, specializing in concrete structure design and analysis. You will review drawings, supervise site activity, and provide technical guidance through fabrication and installation.

The role requires proficiency in Etabs, Staad Pro, IDEA StatiCa and SAP, plus strong QA leadership to coordinate with design and site teams to meet project standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12-15 years' experience in engineering consultancy firms.
• Proven experience in concrete structure design and analysis.
• Master's Degree/Chartered Engineering will be an added advantage.
• Role requires QA leadership and ability to supervise a small team.
• Excellent knowledge of design codes and authorities' standards.

Responsibilities

• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, and method statements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor steel erection and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies or structural challenges.
• Review RFIs and provide responses.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, Authority standards and project specifications.
• Monitor construction works to ensure design intent is achieved in the construction phase to the minimum requirements of approving authorities.
• Attend weekly site progress meetings.
• Collaborates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and day-to-day supervision activities.
• Maintain awareness of project budgets and timelines, ensuring engineering solutions are cost-effective.
