Job summary

KN International Architects and Engineers LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design for building and infrastructure projects, review calculations, and coordinate with MEP, Architecture, and Utilities.

The role requires strong knowledge of codes and standards in the Middle East, hands-on experience with concrete and steel structures, and proficiency in ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Revit, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in structural engineering in the UAE, focused on design.
• Proven delivery of building structures and/or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and structural steelwork.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, Architecture, Utilities).
• Proficient in ETABS, STAAD/STAAD Pro, SAP2000; Revit and CAD tools; BIM familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design for building, civil, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, models, specs, and detailed drawings.
• Provide technical leadership in concept, scheme, and detailed designs.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and project specs.
• Review designs, calculations, drawings for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, Architecture, Utilities).
• Provide technical support to engineers and BIM technicians.
• Manage structural tasks and resources per project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor quality against drawings.
• Ensure adherence to company and client quality standards and procedures.
• Communicate technical aspects to team members and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with current codes and practices; contribute at project levels.
