Job description

• Oversee the consultant team during the design stage from concept till detailed design to ensure efficient and optimized design for the building structure .
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is proceeding according to the design plans and specifications
• Work closely with the project manager, architects, consultant team, construction teams, and other professionals to ensure that the structural design integrates well with the overall design of the building or structure.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure that the designs meet all requirements. Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.
• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction methodology.
• Oversee and support the consultant to obtain the related authorities' approval.
• Analyse configurations of the basic components of a structure.
• Attend and participate in site meetings with consultants, contractors, and consultants, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and facilitating effective communication among all parties
• Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers.
• Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
• Oversee the consultant during the review of the shop drawings, material submittal, and method statement.
• Address and resolve conflicts that arise during construction between different trades, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Manage changes to the structural scope of work, ensuring that all modifications are properly documented and communicated to relevant parties
• Ensure that all site activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements, advocating for safety practices on-site.

Tools & Software :

• AutoCAD for reviewing technical and shop drawings.
• Revit for coordinating structural and architectural models.
• Navisworks for clash detection and 3D model review.
• Microsoft Office Suite for preparing progress reports and documentation.
• BIM 360 for collaboration and design coordination.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in structural design management from the developer or consultant side, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects of high-rise residential and luxury projects
• Strong technical skills in structural engineering principles, as well as proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
