We are currently looking for an experienced Sr. Structural Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience working as a Structural Engineer for various architectural projects, and with an educational background in civil or structural Engineering.

Summary of the role :

The Sr. Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing buildings and infrastructure to ensure they are safe, stable, and durable for various architectural projects, through creating blueprints, performing safety calculations, and ensuring compliance with building codes, whilst collaborating with architects and interior designers, mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure the overall coherence and aesthetic expectations of the project are met.

Key Responsibilities :

• Designing structural elements such as foundations, beams, columns, etc. for various architectural projects.
• Create detailed blueprints, drawings and construction documents outlining the specifications for the structural elements.
• Performing calculations and analyses to ensure safety and compliance with building codes, zoning laws as per local and international regulations.
• Propose energy efficient, sustainable, and accessible building designs considering environmental factors, as needed
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure the overall coherence of the project.
• Work closely with architects and interior designers to integrate structural elements into the overall design, ensuring that the building can withstand various loads, while maintaining the desired aesthetic.
• Use softwares such as AutoCAD for creating structural layouts and integrating them with architectural designs.
• Stay informed on the latest trends, materials and technology in the industry to keep our projects at the forefront of innovation.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. (Master’s Degree is preferred).
• 6- 10 years of professional experience as a Structural Engineer working on various architectural projects in the region.
• Preferably a registered professional or member of a professional engineering (PE) society.
• Demonstrable portfolio with a strong experience in delivering high end projects.

Skills and Abilities :

• Proficiency in structural design softwares such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.
• Proficiency in structural design softwares such as AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Good understanding of engineering principles and structural analysis techniques.
• Strong knowledge of local and international building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• High attention to detail in design calculations, measurements, and specifications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Working Conditions :

• The position has very limited or no international travel requirement.
