AtkinsRéalis in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Structure Engineer to supervise erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, ensuring safety and compliance during construction. You will review drawings, mentor site teams, coordinate with contractors, and enforce quality control per IS, IRC, Eurocode, and project specifications.

The candidate holds a Civil or Structural Engineering degree with 15+ years of building project experience and strong AutoCAD, MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in building projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting and erection techniques.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; BIM knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and installation of steel structures for OG metro stations.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, and codes (IS, IRC, Eurocode).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal teams on-site.
• Monitor progress, quality control and safety compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare reports on non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Review shop drawings, method statements and material submittals for steel structures.
• Liaise with design teams for site-related design modifications.
• Ensure documentation of inspections, approvals and quality records.

Job DescriptionOverview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled Senior Structure Engineer to supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems. This role is critical to ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase.

Your role

• Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for OG metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
• Ensure that all structural works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works, including non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals related to steel structures.
• Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and quality records.

About you

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ Years of expereince in Building projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
