Key Responsibilities

1. Design and analysis of Ports and Harbours.

2. Design and analysis of Marinas and water waterways.

3. Design and analysis of Breakwater and Berthing Structure.

4. Design and analysis of Quay Walls and retaining walls.

5. Design and analysis of Floating decks/docks.

6. Design and analysis of Pile and Pile-guide.

7. Design and analysis of Pile-supported Waterfront Structure.

8. Review and provide solutions for Dredging and Reclamation.

9. Review and provide solutions for Ground Improvement.

10. Review and provide solutions for Waves Effect and Hydrodynamics.

11. Review and provide solutions for Material used in Marine.

12. Choosing appropriate materials that can resist the corrosive effects of seawater and other marine conditions while maintaining structural integrity.

13. Ensuring that designs meet regulatory standards and safety codes specific to marine environments, including factors such as load-bearing capacity and safety margins.

14. Coordinating with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to manage marine engineering projects from conception through to completion.

15. Evaluating the environmental impact of marine structures and implementing measures to minimize negative effects on marine ecosystems.

16. Addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the construction or operation of marine structures, including unexpected environmental conditions or structural failures.

Desired Candidate Profile

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Marine Engineering.

· Minimum 5 years UAE/GCC experience in marine engineering or port design, with specific experience in coastal structures, hydraulic engineering, and project management.

· Experience outside UAE/GCC: Minimum 10 years with attested experience certificate.

· Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD), with knowledge of marine engineering standards and structural design.

· Professional practice permit registration with UAE or Dubai Municipality.
