Job summary

FSRA in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior supervisor to support the Supervision Section's objectives and help shape frameworks for governing financial institutions. You will oversee risk assessments and regulatory compliance, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires 6-8 years in financial supervision, strong knowledge of insurance regulations, and fluency in business English; Arabic language skills are a plus. A Bachelor's degree is essential.

• Develop, enhance, and implement frameworks, policies, rules, and procedures for governing financial institutions
• Supervise firms' compliance with relevant rules and regulations through periodic impact and risk assessments
• Execute supervisory work plans, including planning reviews and communicating recommendations
• Analyze the prudential condition of assigned institutions and their compliance with Financial Crime Prevention frameworks
• Take prompt action against identified deficiencies and ensure timely resolution
• Build relationships with regulated institutions and internal/external stakeholders
• Participate in allocated projects and liaise with other FSRA groups

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 6-8 years of experience in financial supervision or industry experience in financial sectors (ideally insurance)
• Strong knowledge of insurance sector regulations, products, and market practices
• Knowledge of Financial Crime prevention regulations and requirements
• Fluent in business English
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Risk Management, or Law
• Proficiency in Arabic or other languages
• Understanding of Arabic culture
