Overview

The FSRA regulates financial services providers in the ADGM. The Supervision Division, including the Supervision Section, monitors the safety and soundness of banks, insurers, money service providers and capital markets intermediaries. The Senior Specialist – Specialist Supervision role works closely with Managers and Senior Managers to implement the supervisory framework and supervise a portfolio of financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing short‑ and long‑term objectives of the Supervision Section.
• Help develop, enhance and implement the framework, policies, rules and procedures for governing and supervising institutions.
• Supervise firms’ compliance with rules, regulations and periodic impact risk assessment.
• Support the Director, Senior Manager and Manager in the periodic risk assessment, drafting supervisory work plans and executing supervisory reviews.
• Analyse prudential condition and conduct of assigned institutions, ensuring compliance with the Financial Crime Prevention framework.
• Take prompt action against deficiencies and non‑compliances and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Build relationships with regulated institutions and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in implementing policies, rules and processes, including documentation for assigned institutions.
• Deliver additional tasks delegated by the Director or Senior Manager.
• Collaborate with other internal FSRA groups such as Authorisation.
• Participate in projects, including those related to information security, following ADGM policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 6–8 years of financial supervision experience or industry experience in asset/wealth management, funds, contracts for difference, and/or virtual assets.
• Relevant experience and knowledge of financial crime prevention.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Results‑oriented team player with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and analytical skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, impeccable integrity and a positive “can‑do” attitude.
• Fluent in business English.

Desirable

• Degree in Finance, Banking and Accounting, Risk Management, Law or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in Arabic or other languages and understanding of the Arabic culture.
