About the role:

AIQ is looking for a Senior Specialist (Reservoir SME) to lead and support high-quality, multi-disciplinary reservoir engineering activities by championing technical standards, evaluating simulation tools, advising on reservoir modeling and management, and driving continuous improvement in field development planning, software selection, and internal processes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee field development plan studies, ensuring compliance with company standards, rigor, and technical quality.
  • Champion the application of technical standards and best practices across Group companies.
  • Facilitate the adherence to standards and guidelines within Group Companies, promoting efficiency and value alignment.
  • Lead the evaluation and testing of commercial reservoir simulators, affiliated software, and analytical tools to recommend cost-effective technical software.
  • Offer hands-on support for reservoir modeling, simulation development, and related projects.
  • Review reservoir study reports, recommending techniques and actions to enhance field development plans and data gathering programs.
  • Advise on reservoir modeling, software considerations, R&D, reservoir technology, hydrocarbon reserves, and reservoir management.
  • Ensure a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach is adopted in all reservoir engineering endeavors.
  • Contribute to the creation of standards for knowledge, competency, and resource allocation strategy, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
  • Aid in shaping operational plans, budget requirements, and departmental strategies.
  • Participate in policy, procedure, and system development in line with best practices and company standards.
  • Recommend internal process enhancements for alignment with ISO standards and industry best practices.
  • Engage actively in both internal and external audits for the department.
Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in reservoir engineering including oil and gas fields’ development management and Full Field simulation studies (use software models).
  • Reservoir and Production Operations Knowledge.
  • Analytical Reservoir characterization (Material Balance) knowledge
  • Numerical reservoir simulation (Eclipse, Intersect)
  • Pressure Transient Analysis and Well Performance knowledge, PVT Modelling

Minimum educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Reservoir Engineering.
