Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and analytical Senior Specialist Merchandiser to lead category planning, stock management, and product performance analysis across our UAE retail or e-commerce operations. This role is key to optimizing assortment, maximizing sales, and improving inventory efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute merchandising strategies to drive revenue growth and optimize inventory levels.
2. Analyze sales trends, market insights, and consumer behavior to support product planning and stock allocation.
3. Plan product assortments and define core collections in collaboration with buying and planning teams.
4. Monitor product lifecycle, ensuring timely replenishment, markdowns, and stock clearance.
5. Liaise with suppliers and internal teams for timely product delivery and in-season adjustments.
6. Manage category-level budgeting and forecasting to align with commercial targets.
7. Conduct regular performance reviews of SKUs and recommend actions to improve sell-through and margin.
8. Optimize visual merchandising and product presentation strategies across stores or platforms.
9. Support promotions and campaign planning with data-driven product selections.
10. Ensure alignment with regional trends, seasonal demands, and UAE customer preferences.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of merchandising experience in fashion, retail, or FMCG, with at least 2 years in a senior or specialist role.
3. Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience using Excel, BI tools, or merchandising software.
4. Understanding of retail KPIs such as sell-through rate, margin, turnover, and stock cover.
5. Experience working with planning, buying, and supply chain teams.
6. Proven ability to drive commercial outcomes through effective merchandising strategies.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills.
8. Familiarity with the UAE retail market and consumer behavior.
9. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
