Qualifications

This position provides Group-level technical leadership for Business Continuity Management across complex oil, gas, production, and petrochemical operations. The Senior Specialist establishes the standards, governance mechanisms, assurance processes, and resilience capabilities needed to prepare ADNOC Group companies for operational disruption and support effective recovery. The role connects business continuity with enterprise risk management, crisis management, emergency response, disaster recovery, regulatory obligations, and corporate risk appetite. It requires regular engagement with Group Companies, senior leadership, government bodies, regulators, contractors, critical third parties, and professional institutions to maintain a consistent and effective resilience framework across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve ADNOC Group-wide Business Continuity standards.
• Ensure Group Business Continuity standards remain aligned with recognized international practices and relevant UAE regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the Group Technical Authority for the Business Continuity discipline.
• Act as the principal Subject Matter Expert for Business Continuity Management across ADNOC Group.
• Provide technical interpretation, guidance, and governance support to Group Companies and business functions.
• Participate in and contribute specialist expertise to the Business Continuity Technical Discipline Council.
• Lead development and implementation of the Group-wide Business Continuity Management strategy.
• Establish and maintain BCM policies, procedures, standards, governance structures, and supporting methodologies.
• Align BCM arrangements with ADNOC 's corporate risk appetite and strategic objectives.
• Integrate Business Continuity Management with enterprise risk management, crisis management, emergency response, and disaster recovery frameworks.
• Conduct and oversee comprehensive business continuity risk assessments.

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor 's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline. A minimum of 10 years of operational experience within oil and gas production, operations, or the petrochemical industry is required, including at least 8 years of substantial experience in emergency management, crisis management, or Business Continuity Management. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of business continuity challenges, organizational behavior, operational risk, recovery planning, and resilience requirements within complex oil and gas environments. In-depth knowledge of internal business processes, corporate standards, policies, governance requirements, and operational interfaces is important for effective Group-level oversight.
